Attention all Spanish/English interpreter NCTA members! The National Center for Interpretation of the University of Arizona has graciously offered a $500 scholarship for one NCTA member to attend their online 2024 Court Interpreter Training Institute (CITI).
This year’s Court Interpreter Training Institute will run May 20 – June 28, 2024. The program is entirely online. Now in its 41st year, the CITI does an exceptional job of improving interpreting proficiency for both aspiring and working Spanish/English interpreters. CITI pre-/post-test scores have improved an average of roughly 30% over the years!
This year, the cost of the CITI is $2795 + a $50 application fee. The $500 scholarship helps to pay for the cost of the 2024 CITI, and the $50 application fee would also be waived. The scholarship recipient would need to cover the remaining balance.
