I have a PhD in literary studies from Lund University, Sweden (2019). My dissertation deals with contemporary Anglo-American popularizations of science. I teach or have taught comparative literature, science communication, and science and technology studies at several universities, including California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Linnaeus University, and Lund University. I have translated Harry Martinson’s essay “Stjärnsången” (“The Star Song”) from Swedish to English (published in the New York Review of Science Fiction, vol. 30, no. 6, 2020) and several books, mostly popular science books, from English to Swedish for the Swedish publishing house Fri Tanke Förlag (including David Sinclair’s Lifespan, Adam Becker’s What Is Real?, and Charles Darwin’s Voyage of the Beagle).

I have published numerous academic and non-academic essays and articles, in both English and Swedish, on such topics and genres as poetry, science fiction, translation studies, science communication, climate change discourse, and creative non-fiction. In addition to translating technical texts in the sciences, I am able to translate fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction from Swedish to English and from English to Swedish.
