NCTA International Book Club | Online on Zoom
June 4 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 amFree
***Our next book club meetup will be held on June, 4th 2022 at 9:30am. It will be held on Zoom. We will meet in the morning so that it stays time-friendly for Europeans as well. ***
The International Book Club is a book club for NCTA members and non-members who want to join our NCTA community.
If you love to read translated books, either in English or in your native language, join us!
We’ll read and discuss fiction books that have been translated in English and other languages. We will read one book approximately every two months. We started in January. The planned schedule is this one: January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October… We’ll meet once every two months (in person or on Zoom) to discuss the book! Feel free to organize a meetup in your area!
You can choose to read the selected books in the original language or in any available translation. Discussions will focus on traditional book club themes as well as aspects of translation that arise.
We know that free time is precious and rare, so feel free to join us whenever you can! The more the merrier!!!
Please sign up below, it doesn’t commit you to anything, except to receiving book club information 😉
About our next book:
Our next book will be a novel originally written in German by Austrian author Christoph Ransmayr and entitled Cox oder Der Lauf der Zeit . It has been translated in English (Cox or the Course of Time), in French (Cox ou la Course du Temps), in Spanish (Cox o el Paso del Tiempo), in Italian (Cox o Il Corso del Tempo), in Polish (Cesarski Zegarmistrz), in Dutch (Cox of het Verglijden van de Tijd), in Portuguese (Cox ou o Correr Do Tempo), and maybe other languages that I haven’t found 😉
Hoping to see many of you!
RSVP - you will receive your Zoom link in a separate message after registration closes.
